Chris Frey

General Manager

Chris is the General Manager at Pinnacle Golf Club, overseeing operations and ensuring the enjoyment and satisfaction of members and non-members across Pinnacle Brands. With a background in education from the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University, Chris brings strong communication and leadership skills to the role. Chris’ passion for golf and hospitality inspired him to pursue a career in the industry.


Since joining Pinnacle Golf Club in 2023, Chris has found great fulfillment in the day-to-day interactions with both members and staff. He appreciates the supportive and cohesive work environment fostered by a dedicated full staff who go above and beyond to achieve excellence. Chris believes that his biggest accomplishments and favorite projects at the club are yet to come, as he works alongside the membership and ownership group on future plans and maintains high standards for the course and club.


To customers and potential members, Chris emphasizes that Pinnacle is more than just a club—it's a family. Chris encourages active participation to experience the true culture of being part of the Pinnacle family and gain a greater sense of enjoyment. Outside of work, Chris is an avid sports enthusiast, both as a spectator and a participant.


Exceptional customer service and support are priorities for Chris, who values open communication and incorporates feedback from members and guests. By focusing on the smallest details in day-to-day operations, Chris establishes a foundation of excellence that enables seamless execution of larger projects. Witnessing the joy and satisfaction of members, customers and clients is the most rewarding aspect of working with them.


Chris embraces the motto "Always keep learning, it keeps you young" by Patty Berg, recognizing the importance of continuous growth and development. To maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, Chris leads by example, actively participating alongside the staff and demonstrating unwavering support. “If they see me in the trenches with them they are also going to want to work hard and make things great!”


To stay updated in the field and golf industry, Chris draws upon his former PGA of America membership and current membership with the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). These connections provide valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with fellow professionals and stay informed about industry standards. Active involvement in the local Columbus Chapter of the CMAA further enriches Chris' knowledge base.
